If you've never used L.A.S.S.I.E. before, please consider these eLearning Modules.
So this is your first time working with L.A.S.S.I.E.?
Here are a few things you should know.
Regarding Collar-IDs:
- Your login for L.A.S.S.I.E. is your Collar-ID. If you don't have one yet, please contact your Convention L.A.S.S.I.E. Administrator. - Your Collar-ID is a number unique to you regardless of the convention and regardless of the year. - Your Collar-ID is your call sign on the radio. Get used to listening for it.
Regarding L.A.S.S.I.E. Status:
- The Status is a way to tell the Dispatcher (through L.A.S.S.I.E.) roughly what you are doing. - Status 4: things like Door Duty, Queue Management, Fire Pit, etc. In short, if you are on duty and bound to a specific location, it is most likely Status 4 - Status 2: Depending on the convention, this could be "On Duty" or "Roaming" or "Standby". Medics, in general, are on Status 2 - Status 1: If you feel like being on duty, but aren't scheduled for it, this is the one you want.
Further details about Operations Status can be found under Operations Status.
Regarding the LASSIE Bot:
You can use the LASSIE Bot on Telegram to quickly and efficiently communicate with L.A.S.S.I.E. while on the go. You can:
- Set your status - Call up your schedule (specifically the next 5 shifts assigned) - Receive messages from Dispatch
Regarding Schedules:
Your Convention L.A.S.S.I.E. Administrator will send out a notice when you are able to look at the schedule. Depending on the convention, you will either be able to use the self scheduler (to pick and choose your own shifts depending on your qualifications) or use the Schedule tab to view the schedule. Further details about the schedule can be found under Schedule
